Last Call to Change Your Address or Make Any Changes to Your Order!!!
over 2 years ago – Fri, Nov 26, 2021 at 05:27:47 PM

Hello!

We are pretty pumped up. Our scrubs arrived Tuesday and THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL! We were after Athleta/Patagonia quality- and we got it. Finally.

Oriana and her husband Charlie (this is truly a team effort) went on Wednesday to pick up the sizes for the screen printer (mountains on your scrubs!). The non-screen printed orders will be packed this weekend- with the goal of shipping all the non-screen printed scrubs out on Monday!

**The screen printed scrubs will be shipped out as soon as they are printed- likely end of next week**

SO if you have ANY changes to your address,  sizes or other: PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL in the next 24 hours :) : [email protected] :

If you were the main person on a bulk/group Kickstarter order, remember that the whole order will be shipped to you. If this won't work (because people have moved etc) we are happy to work with you, we understand it's been a year and things may have changed, but please: email Oriana asap!

Any other questions, email Oriana!  --->  [email protected]

Photo Shoot Complete + Scrubs Arrive Monday!
over 2 years ago – Sat, Nov 20, 2021 at 07:02:27 AM

AT LAST! We have all been waiting patiently, and finally our production order of scrubs will arrive at our fulfillment center on Monday. After months of forging through, we have finally found ourselves back on the right path.

We have gone through an extensive sampling process, hired a third party inspection service to inspect our scrubs before they left the factory, and had sizes in every color sent to us for our photo shoot last week in Missoula, MT.  We can finally say we have the scrubs we set out to make.  They are beautiful. We can't wait to share them with all of you.

Timeline as we See it Today:

  • Monday, November 22: Scrubs arrive at fulfillment center in Missoula, MT.
  • Wednesday, November 24: The team (ie Oriana's husband, Charlie) will pick up the sizes to drop off at the screen printers in Missoula + the all the Kickstarter orders + all pre-orders from the website- then we will pack orders from Oriana's cabin through the holiday weekend.
  • Thursday - Sunday: PACKING NON-SCREEN PRINTED ORDERS TO SHIP ON MONDAY 29th!

**We will ship out the orders with screen printing as soon as they are complete, we are hoping no later than December 6th. **

Holy moly, this has been an epic journey.  Now, we feel we have finally made it to the fun part- where we get to move forward and build a business. You have all been there every step of the way.  Let us know if your shipping address has changed or if you have any last minute changes: exchanges will be limited, but we will do our best to make things right.  Email any inquiries, changes or questions to: [email protected] - We are so damn close.

Best,

Production Begins Next Week & 1 Year Since Kickstarter Launch
over 2 years ago – Wed, Sep 29, 2021 at 09:49:50 PM

This has been a marathon.

We never thought it would take us an entire year to deliver. This time last year, Golden and I were full of anticipation for the launch of our Kickstarter campaign: Would we meet our goal? Would we raise enough to fund production? Would people be interested in what we were doing? You blew us out of the water. We still hold on to the high we felt as you all flooded in with your support, helping us meet our goal in less than three days. The momentum threw us forward into fulfilling our 'Mountains are my Medicine' logo year, and waited with intense excitement for our scrubs to arrive from the women's cooperative in India.  Then it all fell flat. The scrubs, while we were well meaning in going with a women's cooperative, we not up to our quality standards.  You remember, heat transfer size labels on the outside of every unit, seams sewn incorrectly, holes in pockets, the wrong quantities of every size- the list went on.

We mourned. We cried. We deeply felt the disappointment in our bones.  Then we got back to work.

We built a better supply chain. We didn't back down when the minimum orders were higher, when the factories implied they couldn't do what we were asking for such small quantities. We found a way. We were meticulous in our sampling process. We spoke up if something was off. We ensured we approved every sample, every seam, every pattern, and had a full sample set made in every other size- production quality. We made sure we wore every final product. We clarified. We negotiated. We didn't take no for an answer. It has taken us longer, but we are finally on the right path.

We will be proud to send you these scrubs.

Final production starts next week with our new supply chain.  After all these long months, with multiple setbacks related to COVID and beyond- we are finally seeing the light.

Our lightweight fabric has been woven and shipped from the North Carolina mill to the cut/sew facility, and once our waistband fabric arrives early next week we will FINALLY be in production mode with our high quality supply chain- one used by the biggest names in the outdoor industry. This has been a slog, and we haven't given up. The quality of our samples is beyond excellent. We took the extra time to get it right this time. We have also hired a third party inspection service to inspect our scrubs when they come off the production line, before leaving the facility as an extra check that everything looks good and matches our samples.

We are sparing no expense this time. We are making sure that the scrubs you finally get match your expectations in quality and fit. We are beyond appreciative for all the notes of encouragement along the way. We are almost there!

Timeline: Like you, we will believe it when we see it BUT scrubs are expected to arrive in Montana in November and we will get right to work fulfilling all of your pre-orders. As we get closer we will fill you in on exact dates.

You are all amazing, thank you for being with on this unexpected journey.

Best,

Oriana and Golden

Samples finalized and fabric in production!
over 2 years ago – Thu, Aug 26, 2021 at 03:43:51 PM

  • Our new fabric is in production in North Carolina! Made with bluesign approved fabric, our body fabric is so stretchy, soft and wicking! Curious what *bluesign approved* means? Check it out below!

"BLUESIGN gives you the assurance that only companies that act responsibly were involved in the manufacture of a product that is designated with the bluesign® PRODUCT label. They have used the best technologies available, used resources responsibly and taken care to minimize the impacts on people and the environment. With your purchase of products that carry the bluesign® PRODUCT label, you are supporting companies in their sustainable development and become a part of a unique movement."

Check out more about  bluesign®  HERE.

  • Our samples from the cut/sew factory in El Salvador have been approved. They have been AMAZING to work with. So professional, methodical and high quality. Now that we have been through this process, we realized the (many) gaps in our last production process. Live and learn, I suppose.
  • Our jump size samples, meaning a sample in every other size to check grading, is in process. This will ensure we don't get any surprises when we receive our full order!

Next up is to arrange for a third party inspection service to inspect our first few production pieces as they come off the production line. This ensures they match our specifications and catch any mistakes before our scrubs leave the factory.

Meanwhile, we are all still in this complex mess that is working in healthcare during COVID.  We are doing our best to get outside, support our mental health, and the mental health of our co-workers as we continue to endure this pandemic. Sending big love and strength to everyone out there, especially those working the bedside during these times. Do not hesitate to reach out to us with questions.

We are stepping up our effort to update you more frequently as we lead up to FINALLY fulfilling these scrubs. We have learned many things on this journey, patience has definitely been one of them :)

Best,

Oriana
